~Elvis/Stitching Sampler Bag~

It was fun to make these...
This one measures 10x10 inches, with a nice long 44 inch strap,
good for wearing on your shoulder or across your body~
Here's the inside, soft, lovely to touch~

This is the other side, a stitch sampler~

...& more of the fun stitching, trying out all the different stitches my sewing machine does~

Here's the other side, looks just as nice facing out as Elvis,
for different occasions & outfits!
Here's a close-up of the stitching on the front, & you can see it on the strap a little, too~

Another look at it from the front~
Ok, this one's found a home, too! Ya snooze, ya lose!
But come on over to my etsy shop & see if I found the rest
of the Elvis fabric & made any more yet...
(...I might look extra hard for it if ya ask nicely!)

~Instrament/Corduroy bag~

Photo's just cannot show the beauty & softness of this bag!
{When we've shown all the bags to our friends,
this one is always a favorite!}
It measures 15x14,
{big enough to hold music books for lessons, if you like!}
{It looks a little lopsided in the picture, but it isn't, honest!
I've just gotta work on my photography skills! *grin*}

The corduroy the handles & bottom panel of the bag are made from is light & very soft,
with a silver sparkly line in it brought out by the trim between the two different fabrics~
This is such a fun little bag! Hannah's insisting I make her one soon, too!

The inside is lined with a nice cotton canvas,
with a pocket divided into two pockets that runs the entire length of the purse,
with a place for a pen in the middle~

The inside stitching looks really sweet on the canvas~

The two matching bags of this fabric went to a mother/daughter team for Christmas who both admired them every time they came over to visit~
I do have other music bags in the works, come check 'em out at:

~Stained Glass Butterfly Bag~

Hello, fellow sewers, quilters, & bag lovers!
This is another new favorite (Of mine & Hannah's!)
I call it "Big Stained Glass Butterflies"...
{...there's a smaller simpler version, too, same fabrics, no flap, black liner, no pockets...
....it's called Small Stained Glass Butterflies" of course! Pics to come...}
~The bag measures 15x15, with one32 inch strap~
Modelling the bag for you is my precious daughter, Hannah!
I've done all-over quilting on this side~
The back has fruit & flowers
with words above each one,
quilted along each line...
The inside has a bright yellow cotton lining,
2 lined fruit fabric pockets, (one big one divided in the middle)
& 1 lined interestingly-shaped stained-glass pocket~
...with a special little tag on the insideof the flap!
{...& that's just a random thread on it (above)
that I didn't see 'til after the pic was taken! *grin*}
The front has a flap, with a button closure~
(This is the inside of the strap...)
The inside of the padded handle is quilted in gold~

Here's a close-up of the button & quilting!
The pictures just dont do this sweet fruit fabric justice!
(All the fabric is 100% cotton, most of it high quality quilting fabric...)
If you're interested in adopting this bag, it's looking for a good home!

Strawberry Canvas Bag, so yummy & sweet!

This is my new favorite fabric lately!
Here's a close-up, but it's a little blurry,
& pinker in this picture than it really is!
It's actually a nice rich red!

It's a lovely thick canvas cotton covered in luscious strawberries!
I got as much as I could afford, & this is the first bag I've made with it so far~

I love the depth of the inside pocket, {10 inches!}
which has a natural frayed edge,
secured with green leaf stitching along the edge of the pocket~
The same leaf stitching secures the bag all the way around, & triple secures the handles~

Hannah's holding it open a little here, but it actually hangs closed nicely!
The inside fabric is a really soft, lovely light green cotton
with just enough red in it to pick up & bring out the strawberries~

Here's a close-up of some of the stitching, on the edges, & the handles...
There's more of these coming, they'll all be unique, & I'll post pics as they're created!
If you'ld like to adopt one, & promise to give it a loving home,

Homeless Lilac & Fruit Bag

I found my favorite lilac fabric & decided to make a little bag...it's so sweet I want to keep it for myself, but it whispered to me that it's looking for someone really special to adopt it...are you able to give it a good home? It has Lilacs on one side, sweet & yummy fruit on the other!
I put two outside pockets on the lilac side,
with leaf stiching down the middle to divide the pocket...
This fruit fabric is sooo yummy, (& brighter than the pics show!) a high quality quilting fabric, (as is the lilac fabric, too, actually!) & great for raw foodists, vegans, vegetarians, & fruit lovers of all persuasions to carry as a visual reminder to make healthy food choices as you carry this through your day!
Here's Hannah carrying it for you, after trying to convince me to let her adopt it herself!

There's also an inside pocket that's nice & deep (6.5 inches)...
...the outside of it is the fruit, the inside of it is a nice rough, thick, soft purple...
...the handles are triple reinforced, & all seams are double-stitched to last forever!
{OK, not quite forever, but for a loooooooooooooooooooong time!}
The stitches kinda look like scribbles here, but really, they're a string of leaves!
Here's Hannah modelling it for me, at almost Midnight when she shoulda been in bed!
If you'ld like to give this sweet little purse a loving home, contact me for adoption info~

~Jenna's Birthday Bag~

This is the bag I just made for my daughter's sweet homeschool/church friend, Jenna, who just turned 17! This patchwork fabric is from the Trailblazer uniform they wear for Sunday School that Jenna helps teach...
The lining is a kind of sweatshirt fleece, so soft, & such a nice lining!
...& the other side is music fabric, because I made the bag big enough to carry her music books to the weekly group lessons she & her sisters take with Hannah, as well as for her Bible & lesson books on Sundays! {Mittens the cat had to inspect it, of course!}
& here's Jenna when I gave her the bag, before church, with my Hannah watching...she loved it, & is now using it for church as well as music lessons, as I hoped she would!

~Quilted Music Note Bag for Leah~

This one was so fun to make, the first one I quilted all over, & I really love the feel of it, a little thicker (more padded) & a nice feel to it when carried~
~Here's a close-up of some of the quilting~

...& my favorite part, (below) a big musical note on the back!

Here's a bit of a close-up on the note, but you can't really see the stitching...it makes me wanna pull out my guitar & write a song!

I originally made these for people to carry their music books to music lessons with, but anyone who loves music would enjoy carrying this anywhere, for any purpose, so I'm told by all those who saw it!
Here's the inside veiw, with some lovely, thick, almost burlap (but soft as butter!) fabric I found to line it with (there's a close up of it further down on a previous post, inside another music bag.)
There's also a close-up of the leaf-like stitching along the insides in the previous post...
This one has been adopted, & here's a picture of it with it's new mama!
{Hi, Leah! My most faithful Blog supporter & encourager!}

~The Blue/Green Music Bag~

Another one of my faves!
Thicker handles, with quilting on the front (& the handles!)
...& blue stitching along the top...

I really like the back, too, it makes me think of
when I used to play my guitar in the park,
sitting on the grass in the sunshine!

...& the lining is this wonderful, thick, soft orang cotton fabric that I came across in my collection as I was hunting for something to line it with! It's almost like a buttery soft burlap, {but stronger!}

Here's a close-up of the inside, & the stitching...

This one is now on it's way to a new home, waiting to meet it's new family!

~The Blue Black Music Bag~

This is one of my favorites...I didn't do quilting on it, & it isn't overly padded...it's light, yet sturdy!
The back is all music fabric...

Here's a close-up, but it still doesn't show it as beautiful as it really is! This is a top-quality quilting fabric, nice feel & look, & soft to the touch!

And I really LOVE the feel & density of the inside liner fabric!
The picture doesn't do it justice! (Wish I had a better camera!)
It's almost silky, but thick, almost like upholstery fabric...
...or like nice pillows for the couch! & I love the design on it, isn't it sweet?

I was tempted to keep it for my own!

.......it's big enough to carry music books to lessons, but also good for the library, a little grocery trip (would fold up quite small) or just as a little purse!

It's now living with Robyn, from RawFu,
& arrived (unbeknownst to me!) on her birthday!
Send me a picture of you with it, Robyn!
