~Quilted Music Note Bag for Leah~

This one was so fun to make, the first one I quilted all over, & I really love the feel of it, a little thicker (more padded) & a nice feel to it when carried~
~Here's a close-up of some of the quilting~

...& my favorite part, (below) a big musical note on the back!

Here's a bit of a close-up on the note, but you can't really see the stitching...it makes me wanna pull out my guitar & write a song!

I originally made these for people to carry their music books to music lessons with, but anyone who loves music would enjoy carrying this anywhere, for any purpose, so I'm told by all those who saw it!
Here's the inside veiw, with some lovely, thick, almost burlap (but soft as butter!) fabric I found to line it with (there's a close up of it further down on a previous post, inside another music bag.)
There's also a close-up of the leaf-like stitching along the insides in the previous post...
This one has been adopted, & here's a picture of it with it's new mama!
{Hi, Leah! My most faithful Blog supporter & encourager!}

~The Blue/Green Music Bag~

Another one of my faves!
Thicker handles, with quilting on the front (& the handles!)
...& blue stitching along the top...

I really like the back, too, it makes me think of
when I used to play my guitar in the park,
sitting on the grass in the sunshine!

...& the lining is this wonderful, thick, soft orang cotton fabric that I came across in my collection as I was hunting for something to line it with! It's almost like a buttery soft burlap, {but stronger!}

Here's a close-up of the inside, & the stitching...

This one is now on it's way to a new home, waiting to meet it's new family!

~The Blue Black Music Bag~

This is one of my favorites...I didn't do quilting on it, & it isn't overly padded...it's light, yet sturdy!
The back is all music fabric...

Here's a close-up, but it still doesn't show it as beautiful as it really is! This is a top-quality quilting fabric, nice feel & look, & soft to the touch!

And I really LOVE the feel & density of the inside liner fabric!
The picture doesn't do it justice! (Wish I had a better camera!)
It's almost silky, but thick, almost like upholstery fabric...
...or like nice pillows for the couch! & I love the design on it, isn't it sweet?

I was tempted to keep it for my own!

.......it's big enough to carry music books to lessons, but also good for the library, a little grocery trip (would fold up quite small) or just as a little purse!

It's now living with Robyn, from RawFu,
& arrived (unbeknownst to me!) on her birthday!
Send me a picture of you with it, Robyn!

~My Nephew Elijah's Music Bag~

The back (above) of Elijah's music bag, to carry his drum books to lessons,
(there are also pockets for his drumsticks!)
And below is a pic of the front,
where I sewed on a polar bear to match his stuffie named, "Almond."
His mom (my sis) was worried he's think it was purse-like,
so she suggested blue jean handles, {which he appreciated!}

I've made a bunch of different music bags sinse that are quilted,
with different handles, & pockets, etc. I'll be posting more soon, & expect to see them show up where I sell my bags now, at http://Anastazia@etsy.com !

~My Sister's Long-Awaited Heart Quilt~

She was so happy to finally get it!!!
Here she is, about to head for home,
showing it with her neice, my daughter Hannah!

She waited at least 6 YEARS for me to finish this!!!
{We actually lost track!!!}

Here's a close-up of some of the quilting I had so much fun doing!

~Quilt for Genser Rolando in Guatamala~

My daughter Hannah standing on the table so we can see the whole quilt!
Made for a little guy in Guatamala, sponsored by our homeschool support group, through the wonderful, life-changing ministy of http://www.impactministries.ca ...come visit, see what they're doing, join is sharing the love!

The theme of the quilt was Canada, with pictures of hockey players,
& the Canadian flag...& lotsa little fishes! This is before all the quilting was finished~

Hhere's Hannah's ladybug square she had lotsa fun painting! She's learning to quilt, & I'll post some pics when she actually finishes something! Loves to start, then moves on to her next inspiration! Lol!

Below, the little pillow & pillowcase I had just enough fabric left over to make!
{& a little homeschool friend, Casey, to show it!}

My attempts at painting horses on it...*grin*...

Still waiting for pics of him recieving it, it was delivered in person a little while back!
{Wish so much I coulda been there!}
I made it extra long so he could turn it sideways for him & his 5 brothers he shares his bed with!
If you're a pray-er, please keep him & his family in your prayers, his dad recently left, & the family is going through some upheaval, & need God's hand on their lives.

Sew Much Fun!

Every day, there's a new inspiration, something new I want to sew, quilt, create! I long for the day when I have an actual sewing room, but until then, I sit on my couch, using the coffee table, & play with fabric as often as possible!
Just a little about me...I'm a single mom (currently on disability, but hoping not to be for much longer!) of a 12 & a half year old home schooled daughter, Hannah, who also loves to sew, but I don't let her play with my new machine without supervision yet!
(Not until I find the manual & teach her everything she'll need to know!)
I've always loved to sew, & always made things out of fabric, since I was quite young, & am now finally venturing out into selling the things I'm making, in my attempts to get off disability doing something from home I love that my health limitations can handle...I also do massage, when I'm physically up to it, & hope to one day open a little business incorporating both quilting & massage, called "Heavenly Hands~Quilting & Massage Studio~"
I'm also currently a raw foodist, which is totally restoring my health, slowly but surely, & most important of all, am a disciple, follower, & lover of Jesus Christ!
...& who are you? Feel free to leave me a comment!
{Did I mention I love comments? *grin*}
